Most interested thing to me is relationship between variation of space and city context.
What I found is some places have variation of space liked to city context(or history) of site.
After this trip, I will comparing each buildings and sites we visted.
So I will analyze how they react with city context when Architects make variation, levels, and sequance of people

Sunha Joo_London Trip, March 2011

For me, the most interesting point of obseving spaces in London was how's old and new meet together in the same space , at the same time─which rarely happens in Korea. There are alot of architectural projects, city areas and institutions which are contain more than two different time periods (or maybe this city itself is a kind of a very well-preserved, but also well-developed organism).

-Tatemodern
An abstract drawing of Tatemodern about how different elements coexist.

How the old windows re-arranged and re-birth for Tatemodern

-Museum of Childhood
Structures of the old space─which was an exhibition hall in 1980s─and structures of newly attached mass

-Barbican Center
Materials and structures from original building
Newly added signs and graphics

-Barking Town
Atmoshpere and elements around town centre

How's different scenes layering all together
